Letter No. 48 - Aesthetically Speaking with stylist Sylvie Mus
Dear Reader,
This week, my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. Most people are shocked when I tell them we met 17 years ago, and have been together ever since. The follow-up question is usually something along the lines of “So, what’s the secret?” Honestly, I have no idea, except that there’s some truth to the old saying, “When you know, you know”, because that’s exactly how it felt when I met Mattias—I just knew.
We probably spend more time together than the average couple, given that we’ve pretty much worked together, in some capacity, since the day we met. You’d think we’d be sick of each other by now. But it’s actually quite the opposite. His big picture thinking complements my detail-oriented nerdery. I’m more on the cautious side; he’s more of a risk-taker. I’m an introvert; he’s an extrovert. Does he drive me absolutely mad at times? You bet. But is he the love of my life? You bet.
So, what’s the point of all this rambling? It’s simple: Trust your gut, because when you know, you know. You know?
Love,
Carolina
