Letter No. 44 - The Summer Grinch Dreams of Autumn
Dear Reader,
I know I’m entering forbidden territory here, but to be honest, I’m already sort of longing for fall. I miss long sleeves, layers, routines, and having all of my friends in town. Summer has always been tricky for me, given that temperatures above 24 degrees celsius make my blood boil and I shy away from the sun like a vampire. I am the summer Grinch, and I have been thriving these past rainy days.
That being said, we still have half of summer left to go, so I might as well embrace it. But that won’t stop me from sneaking in fall wherever I can, a burgundy nail polish, a knitted sweater on a chilly evening, a cup of tea on the sofa while the rain pours down outside my window and most importantly, planning my fall wardrobe. Cue the death threats in 3, 2, 1…
This week’s letter, however, contains no fall stuff, except a scented candle, but I hope you’ll let that one slide. Wishing you all a beautiful summer!
Love,
Carolina
